Google’s Circle to Search Feature Expands to More Android Devices

Google’s innovative Circle to Search feature, initially introduced earlier this year with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, is now set to roll out to a wider range of Android devices. This AI-powered tool, alongside other advanced features like Live Translate and Note Assist, has been designed to enhance user experience and streamline search capabilities on mobile devices.

Following its debut on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the Circle to Search feature made its way to Google’s own Pixel lineup, starting with the Pixel 8 models in January. Subsequently, the feature was extended to the Pixel 7 series in March, demonstrating Google’s commitment to providing cutting-edge functionalities across its range of devices.

Now, Google has confirmed that the Circle to Search feature will be available on a variety of Android handsets, with the rollout set to commence this week. Among the devices slated to receive this feature are Google Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, as well as select models from the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Z series.

The Circle to Search feature offers users a seamless and intuitive way to search for information without the need to switch between apps. By employing simple gestures such as circling, scribbling, or highlighting content on the screen, users can initiate a search query instantly. This feature not only facilitates quick access to information but also leverages Generative AI to assist users in more complex research tasks.

Google highlights the versatility of the Circle to Search feature, noting its utility in various scenarios. From shopping for specific styles or items to aiding travelers in foreign lands with instant translations, this feature is designed to enhance the overall mobile search experience. Users can access the Circle to Search functionality by performing a long-press on the home button or navigation bar and selecting the translate option.

With its expansion to a broader range of flagship Android devices, Google’s Circle to Search feature continues to exemplify the tech giant’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions that cater to the evolving needs of users worldwide. As more users across different devices gain access to this feature, the potential for seamless and efficient information retrieval on mobile platforms is set to expand significantly.
